Rumbula Yahrzeits

This is the beginning of a list of those who perished at Rumbula, may their memory be for a blessing. More names will be added as they are received from Latvia and other sources.

Unfortunately, the names of most of the 25,000 who died at Rumbula are not known*.

The source of each name is indicated in brackets [ ]. F = Family, YV = Yad Vashem.

To submit a name, please e-mail info@Rumbula.org with the name and your relation.

* Although most Latvian Jews were murdered during WWII (at Rumbula and elsewhere), a small percentage of their names are known. The Judaic Studies Center of the University of Latvia is engaged in a long term project to determine the names of many of these Latvian Jews who died during WWII by conducting research using multiple sources and constructing a careful database. They are seeking additional financial support to conduct this project. See A Memorial List of the Latvian Jewish Community 1941-1945.
